Thanks and hope

With clarity I recall watching a television programme for the first time as a young school boy. Her Majesty’s coronation in 1953. You set a very high bar for discretion, integrity, and judgement. Thank you for the lesson. Following it as an entrepreneur, with infrequent mentors was often nearly impossible. Perhaps it is easier now that the commercial imperative to provide has reduced.

My walk past your coffin is this; a declaration that this blog has, like Brighton Rock, integrity at its core. What will this mean? We recognise someone with integrity. The test is we trust them. The snag is recognising integrity, and its opposite ’lack of integrity’ needs time. The former is my objective.

Can a topical journalist, politican or blogger have integrity? I am unsure. Time will tell. My father who wrote for the The Times before WW2 and sadly died on active service in 1943 achieved it. The letters sent, the public endorsements and his pre-war words say it is, but I am still unsure.

With this in mind I want to offer Liz Truss, her new housing Minister Simon Clarke, and you the reader my opinions when I have an opinion based on experience.
